According to a recent PTI report, a Shiv Sena MLA from Thane district has also written to Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad demanding a six-month exemption in school fees due to the economic turmoil caused by the epidemic in the state. is. MLA of Owla-Majiwada, Pratap Sarnaik said such a waiver would be helpful for the parents and asked Gaikwad to hasten her decision a bit on the school fee issue.
“There will be no increase in school fees for this academic year 2020-21. Parents should not be forced to pay the remaining fees for the academic year 2019-20 and fees for 2020-21 at once, they should be given monthly / quarterly payment options,’’ the Maharashtra Education Department stated in an earlier order.
In the orders released earlier by the Maharastra education department, it was clearly mentioned that the schools cannot force the parents for payment of fee if they are unable to pay and also they cannot dismiss the students who can not pay the fee at this moment.
